Shelfari

Getting Started

  1. Like many of the other tools featured here, Shelfari requires that you create an account on their website.  Once again, it's easy and free.
  2. Once your account is established, you can search Shelfari's site to build your bookshelf.  You can look for books by title, author, or even tag.
  3. After your bookshelf is complete, choose to "Put Your Shelf on Your Blog."  This is located on the left hand site of your bookshelf.
  4. Next, choose to "Get Started."
  5. At this point, you are prompted to choose where your bookshelf will go.  I used the "Flash" widget, located at the bottom of the page.
  6. Now you need to customize your widget.
    • Select which books to display, based on the categories in which you have placed them on your shelf.
    • Choose your widget style - a grid, a vertical column, or a horizontal row.
    • Select the size of your widget.  Mine is small.

Embedding Shelfari

Copy and paste the HTML code that appears on the top right hand side of the Shelfari widget page into PBWiki's HTML Magic Plugin on your wiki toolbar.
